New Delhi: Our one and only favourite onscreen Ishima, Television Diva of popular show “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein” Divyanka Tripathi tied the knot with actor Vivek Dahiya in Bhopal on Friday (8th July 2016). The wedding took place according to Hindu rituals and both the bride and the groom was looking damn ravishing and alluring. The girl, Divyanka Tripathi first came to Mumbai with Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj and the city has been home since then. However, she chose to get married at a place she calls home, Bhopal. The lady’s beau, Vivek Dahiya played a role of ACP Abhishek Singh in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein tv serial. He is from a Jat family in Chandigarh and has studied in the UK. Vivek worked in the corporate sector before joining the glamour industry.
The loved couple opened up about their relationship while working on the same show on Star Plus “Yeh Hai Mohabbtein” previous year. The lovebirds finally get married and take their relationship to the next level in a private ceremony and here’s how their love story began. Both couple confirmed earlier in an interview, that they met each other during the show through a common friend and they started knowing each other. They started their alliance by getting engaged this year in a “roka ritual” on 15th January 2016 in a hush-hush ceremony including their family members in Chandigarh (Vivek’s hometown).
The wedding preparations were started earlier because both the individuals were busy in their shoots for their shows and their schedule literally packed up so they had to take up one week off for their wedding rituals. Divyanka took one week off from his show (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) and landed at Bhopal on 4th July after giving up last shot on the set. Divyanka is very close to all her Ye Hai Mohabbatein co-stars, and shares a strong bond with them. The whole cast and crew members gave her a bachelorette party on set and shares their emotional messages to wish her would be bride by clicking adorable selfies. All of them bestowed their good wishes and love upon her for she is going to enter a new phase of her life.
The couple has shared pictures from their sangeet, haldi and mehendi ceremonies. The pre-wedding functions taken place at Divyanka’s native home land.
Haldi Ceremony(6th July) – Divyanka was glowing in a yellow lehenga with simply refined jewellery. The venue is ultimately the one place who stoles the thunder as well. All the ladies were dressed up in different shades of yellow. Divyanka posed with them and steals the show with her style statement.
Mehendi Ceremony (6th July) – Divyanka opted for a pink lehenga choli for her mehendi ceremony. She wore a matching jewellery pieces with her lehenga and looks fabulous with her flowery earrings. She unlike other brides, who get their to-be husband’s name written on it, had Vivek’s face tattooed with mehendi. Exclusive idea we must admit it.
Sangeet Ceremony (7th July) – Handsome Hunk Vivek Dahiya was also seen with his ladylove at the function. Divyanka wore a blue heavily embroidered lehenga for her sangeet night with matching jewellery. She kept her hair open. Vivek opted for a traditional red bandhgala and his pocket square matched with what Divyanka wore. The couple made the most of their sangeet night and gave a stunning performance together. Also, Vivek took the center stage to flatter his ladylove with his dance moves.
Wedding Day (8th July) – Divyanka and Vivek are now a married couple. The wedding was attended by family and close friends. Divyanka was dressed in a splendorous red-and-gold lehenga , and wore heavy gold jewellery. Vivek wore a golden sherwani with a red tinch on it. Both were looking stunning and extremely gorgeous while arrived at the venue.
The wedding taken place at Kanha Fun City near Bhopal. It is a spectacular setting with lights, water bodies and lush gardens. It is a theme park and one of the top attractions for people in and around Bhopal. It is on Hoshangabad Road around 15 kms from the main city. It has a huge water park, which is similar to Essel World. One of its highlights is the marriage garden. It can accommodate around 3,000 people. We have heard that 150-200 guests will be approximately coming for the wedding. It has lush lawns and lighting can be done as per theme. There are enough rooms for people to unwind and relax. With a surrounding of palm trees, swimming pools and gardens, it is a very pretty and composed venue.
Both are truly blessed by completing their saat pheras rasam. Now, the couple headed to Vivek’s hometown Chandigarh for further grahpravesh ritual. And the couple decided to host a reception on 10th July.
The newly wed couple will host a grand reception in Mumbai for their television industry colleagues once they will get back to their respective shows.
Congratulations to a wonderful newlywed couple.!
