NEW DELHI: Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech wedding is what everyone is talking about. This much-awaited marriage of cricketer Yuvraj Singh and British-Mauritian actor Hazel Keech took place in Chandigarh on Wednesday morning. The ceremony took place according to traditional Sikh rituals.
At her mehendi, Hazel glowed in an orange and gold lehenga. An ornate gold maang-teeka made for statement jewellery.
But what got everyone’s attention was the sangeet/cocktail party on Tuesday evening. Held at the same hotel in Chandigarh where the Indian Cricket Team was staying for the Test against England in Mohali, Yuvraj and Hazel’s bash saw all the players troop in to celebrate.
The wedding, which is spread over several days, several destinations and even multiple wedding ceremonies, has taken the Internet by storm. We now know that the Keech-Singh wedding comprises two ceremonies – a Sikh wedding at Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale’s dera in Duffera on November 30 and a Hindu ceremony in Goa on December 2. A reception has also been planned in the Capital for December 7.
But what got our attention is the ring ceremony where the couple was seen hand-in-hand welcoming guests at the same hotel in Chandigarh where the Indian cricket team was staying for the Test against England in Mohali. Even though the cricketer looked dapper in a black velvet achkan paired with white churidar and jootis, we think the Bodyguard actress went a little overboard with her get-up. The white lehenga with a golden border and a jacket with heavy gold embroidery was a complete look in itself but pairing it with the Polki mathapatti disturbed the entire outfit. However, her make-up was spot on and the peacock chandbalis looked good.
For their big day, Singh chose an outfit from master couturier JJ Valaya and according to reports Keech picked the same designer. Both opted for marsala shades, perfect for an Indian wedding. We love how the bride kept her make-up minimum with just a touch of dewy sheen on her face and perfect black smokey eyes while the groom exuded class, complete with a turban. If you ask us, she actually looked like royalty and he like a king!
Congratulations to YUVI-HAZEL..!! Have a blissful married life ahead..!!
