Panipat movie star cast in New Delhi: The Hindi feature film Panipat slated to be released on December 6, is a historical drama based on the third battle of Panipat which most of the Indian students have read in the school. Actors Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were on a whirlwind tour in India for its promotions including New Delhi where a press conference was held at Sheraton Hotel.
Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, the film touches the emotional cord of the characters of that period. But going by the trends, the movie may bomb at the box office.
Sharing his experience during the filming of Panipat, Arjun Kapoor said that Gowarikar had an eye for details and would not fear more retakes if it did not satisfy what he wanted.

He was all admiration on working with Sanjay Dutt. “I feel privileged to work with a man like Sanjay Dutt. I was anxious and nervous as in my head I am a boy and he( Sanjay) is a man but in the movie, I had to be the man too. ”
The film is undergoing a severe controversy over the casting of Sanjay Dutt as Ahmed Shah Abdali. It is said that Abdali was only 29 when the battle was fought but Dutt seems to be a misfit for his looks are over 50. Even the turban that he is wearing is not similar to what Abdali wore in his lifetime.
Kriti shared how she learned to speak Marathi in the film, ” I am playing the role of a Peshwa in the movie, so it was important for me to adapt their language correctly. Marathi is a very different language, before this, I have learned UP ( Uttar Pradesh) dialect which was much easier than Marathi. I had dialect coaches for Panipat movie so that I don’t make mistakes in dialogues.”
