Former women cricket skipper Anjum Chopra gets an award

NEW DELHI: It was a glorious moment for former women Indian cricket team captain, Anjum Chopra when she received the C.K.Nayudu Lifetime Achievement award at a glittering function recently.

The left hand bats person, had started her hand on cricket at a tender age of nine and now when she is 42, she was in smiles when she got the award.  “I feel so proud to have represented India and have been recognised as a woman cricketer.

She said that she will want more and more girls come to play this game which has a good potential in both domestic and international market.

Wearing a peach coloured anarkali outfit of designer Sahil Kochhar, she was jubilant and so was her family when she received the award
